Disaster Relief Ministry - Buckets of Hope
Disaster Relief can take on many faces because disaster causes many needs. It is impossible to know how to address all needs in advance. However, there are some common needs that are present in most disasters. Over the next few months we will be giving you and your church an opportunity to help us as an association be prepared to meet people with hope and the gospel. We will be collecting different items to be stored and made ready to send out to people in disaster areas. We call our project “Buckets of Hope”. It will be a 5 gallon bucket filled with basic items like cleaning supplies, gloves, bottles of water, flashlights with batteries, hand/shop towels, work gloves, toilet paper, gallon size Ziplock bags, etc.
After we collect buckets, we will begin collecting items to put in the buckets. Once we have a variety of items collected we will be ready to call on some of you to come together as the need arises, to pack the buckets for specific disasters.
